It’s been three months of quarantine/lock-down for many of us. Travel ban is in effect across the globe. In the U.S., there is a travel ban in effect till July 2020. Recently, Australia extended their travel ban for another three months.
Despite the panic, uncertainty, and sadness of losing family and friends, I am thankful for the time I spent on self-reflection. Some have had to catch up on their list of to do’s, and spend quality time with family and friends. Some of my friends utilized the time to renovate their homes, cultivate their gardens, etc. I have always been an avid reader until reading became a low priority over the years due to my hectic work life balance. I am extremely grateful for some reading time during quarantine. I re-read my book, The Screen Saver by Christine Willson. Other books I read during quarantine are: Real Money Answers for every woman by Patrice Washington, The Seat of the Soul, by Gary Zukav, Believe Bigger, by Marshawn Evans Daniels, The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle, and currently reading a book gifted to me by one of my daughter’s on Mother’s Day, Don’t Settle for Safe, by Sarah Jakes Roberts.
They are all great reads and most of them are best sellers. Hope you found or enjoyed a passion during quarantine. If you love reading, check out some of these books. They are a great escape.
